Arya Iyer (Madhavan) is a man who suffers from chronic objectivity, great clarity, and the crippling ability to see what others are conditioned to ignore in any scenario. It throws him in problems with everyone he meets. His marriage is obviously ended, but he has persuaded his estranged wife (Chawla) to continue living with him in a beautiful villa in Gurgaon in order to create a fiction of family for their preteen daughter, who is afraid of their divorce.
Arya, India’s second best-selling pulp fiction writer after his old adversary Chetan Bhagat, is a celebrity with everything a man desires: fame, money, a daughter who adores him, a home run by a woman, and a sexy young lover. Nonetheless, he is always evading a catastrophe. Decoupled is an uncompromising comedy about the true nature of people and India, based on the dull realism of daily existence.

@Geeky_Foodie #Decoupled is a hilarious frivolous social satire on Indian double standards, make sure you don’t watch it with family. Breaks all the bubbles we pretend to live in! Great writing by Mallu @manujosephsan & direction by Gujju Hardik Mehta, brilliantly performed by @ActorMadhavan
