The United States and NATO are keeping a close eye on Russia’s antics. Counter-preparation has also begun. Right now, America’s allies are assisting Ukraine. Britain made a significant decision to assist Ukraine and has begun to implement it. Britain has begun sending anti-tank weapons to Ukraine in order to counter Russian tanks. On the other hand, Canada has dispatched a special regiment of soldiers to Kiev.
Perhaps the final diplomatic effort to avert Russia’s attack on Ukraine has begun. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will first visit Kiev, Ukraine’s capital. They will travel to Geneva from here. He will be waiting for Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, here. The two leaders will hold talks about Ukraine. Previously, the United Kingdom provided anti-tank weapons to Ukraine. One of Canada’s paratrooper regiments has been dispatched to Kiev. At all costs, Western countries are determined to keep Russia from attacking Ukraine.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Russian troops have arrived in Belarus. NATO and the US are concerned that they will be used to launch an attack on Ukraine from Belarusian territory. Russia, on the other hand, has remained silent on the subject.
A Go For Blinken
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has launched a last-ditch diplomatic effort to prevent Russia from attacking Ukraine. Blinken has arrived in Kiev, Ukraine’s capital. He will meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky here. Blinken will then arrive in Berlin on Thursday. He will meet with German leaders here. Blinken will then meet with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov in Geneva on Friday.
Blinken’s would be a direct message to Russia not to attack Ukraine in any way and to immediately reduce tensions. This is only possible if the Russian army withdraws to the barracks on the Ukrainian border.
“Russia has stationed tanks on Ukraine’s border. To deal with them, Britain has provided Ukraine with anti-tank weapons.”
Attack any time of day or night
Prior to Blinken’s arrival in Geneva, White House press secretary Jane Pasky stated, “We believe Russia has the capability to attack Ukraine at any time.” America wishes to settle this issue diplomatically.
A senior Russian diplomat, on the other hand, has already expressed his skepticism about the proposed Blinken-Lavrov talks. He stated that there is no room for compromise at this point. But, if America wants to talk, we can give them another chance.
“Last month, Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin met for about two hours to discuss Ukraine.” These discussions, however, did not result in a resolution.
Russia’s latest move
Meanwhile, the Putin regime has dispatched hundreds of troops to Belarus. It is feared that Russia will now launch an attack thru Belarus rather than thru its border. Ukraine is also preparing to deal with this. According to an American officer, the timing of Russian troops’ arrival in Belarus is critical. He intends to launch an attack from the northern border. On the other hand, Russia has stated that the same forces have arrived in Belarus for military exercises. It is estimated that there are 13,000 of these soldiers.
